Tape Hiss, Key Clicks and the HF Lift Switch

Three little switches decide how much of the tape feeling you get. Two are on from the start, one is off.

On the REAR tab there's a row of DIP switches, numbered 1 to 3, and a legend under them. They look like the real thing and they flip like the real thing.

HF lift

A tape-style treble shelf, which lifts the top end. It's off by default, so if you want it you flip it on.

Tape hiss

A soft hiss, described on the panel as blending into silence. It's on by default.

Clicks

The sound of the deck's keys as you press them. Also on by default.

Don't like the hiss or the clicks? Flip them off. Every switch shows ON or OFF next to its name, and your choices are remembered.

None of these touch your files. They only change what you hear while you play. Your music is exactly as it was in the folder.

If you want to shape the tone further, the 10-band EQ is the next stop.
