Audionix has no sign-up and no login. There's no cloud sync either, so there's no Audionix user database. It shows no ads and runs no analytics. Everything it keeps, such as your library, mixtapes and settings, lives on your phone.
What does use the network
- Internet radio. The app contacts the radio-browser.info directory when it opens to load stations for your region, and then the stations' own streams when you play one.
- Cover art and tag lookups. These send text only (titles, artists and album names) to Apple's iTunes Search, and you can turn them off.
- A purchase check on Android. Audionix is a paid app, and when it opens it checks with Google Play that your account still owns it. It sends no personal details and stores nothing about you.
What never leaves
Your audio files. They are read from the folders you choose and nowhere else.
If you're offline, the purchase check just carries on, so the app keeps working. See listening offline.
